Grilled Chicken Wings with Apple Bourbon Mop Sauce

If cooking indoors, place the wings in a rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet and pop under the broiler for about 15 minutes, brushing them with the mop sauce before serving.

  1. Heat grill to medium heat. Mix all ingredients but wings in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes or until reduced by one-third.

  2. Place wings on grill; cook, turning once, about 15 minutes. Brush with mop sauce. Continue to grill, brushing again after 5 minutes, until wings are tender and juices run clear, about 10 minutes longer. Cook to internal temp of 165°F.

  3. Bring remaining mop sauce to a boil; serve with wings.
